Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Huddersfield Town

Good – home shirt 1999-01
Huddersfield were performing very well during this time and even topped the First Division at one point. Marcus Stewart (pictured above) was firing in the goals but their form dipped towards the end of the season and Huddersfield didn’t reach the end of season play-offs.
This particular home shirt was very smart and had light blue and white vertical stripes with a black collar and cuffs. It was definitely the smartest shirt that they have brought out in the last 20 years or so.

Bad – home shirt 1987-89
Huddersfield wore this home shirt for two seasons and it was atrocious! The shirt was made up of narrow blue and white stripes, some vertical and some diagonal over the shoulders and a large white panel on the chest of the shirt.

Ugly – away shirt 1991-93
An ugly away shirt for Huddersfield between 1991-93. Horizontal black and red stripes made the shirt look like a Dennis The Menace jumper.
The shirt had some fuzzy white lines across it as well which added to the strange design!
