2nd February – Footballing Birthdays

Former Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Zaragoza defender Gerard Pique celebrates his 38th birthday today. The Spaniard won 102 caps for his country, scoring five times.
Pique won the World Cup in 2010 with Spain and followed this up with the European Championship two years later. He won the Champions League four times, La Liga nine times and the Premier League once as well as numerous other cups.

Barry Ferguson is 47 today. The former Scotland midfielder won 43 caps between 1998 and 2009 and scored three international goals.
Ferguson had two spells at Glasgow Rangers where he won the league, FA Cup and League Cup on five separate occasions. He was also part of the side that reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2008.
In between both spells at Rangers, Ferguson moved south of the border to play for Blackburn Rovers. When his second spell at Rangers ended in 2009, he moved to Birmingham City and won the League Cup in his final season with the club. He then moved to Blackpool, spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town before ending his career back in Scotland with Clyde.
Ferguson has also been a manager since retiring from playing. He was caretaker manager of Blackpool in 2014 and then managed Clyde, Kelty Hearts and most recently Annan Athletic.
