Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon is 47 today. The former Parma, Juventus and PSG goalkeeper played in 975 club games during his career and won 176 caps for Italy between 1997 and 2018.
The Italian was part of the 2006 World Cup-winning team in 2006 and won 27 major honours in his club career.

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is 25 today. The Serb started his career at Partisan Belgrade before moving to Fiorentina and then Juventus in 2022. He has won 32 caps for his country, scoring 13 goals.

Jamie Carragher celebrates his 47th birthday today. He only played for Liverpool during his career, making a total of 737 appearances for the Reds and scoring four goals.
Carragher won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005 and was part of the side that won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup Treble in 2001.
On the international stage, Carragher played 38 times for England between 1999 and 2010. He is now a renowned television pundit.

Former Senegalese international Papa Bouba Diop would have been 47 today. He played for Fulham, Portsmouth, West Ham United and Birmingham City during his time in England and won 63 caps for his home country, scoring 11 goals.
Bouba Diop passed away on 29th November 2020 at the age of just 42.

Mark Stein celebrates his 59th birthday today. The former striker played for ten different clubs during his career, most notably for Luton Town and Chelsea.
During Stein’s time at Luton, he was part of the side that won the 1988 League Cup, beating Arsenal 3-2 at Wembley. He later won the Second Division and the Football League Trophy with Stoke City in the early 1990’s.
