A ticket from the first League Cup Final

It was on this day in 1947 that Glasgow Rangers won the first ever Scottish League Cup.
A crowd of 82,700 watched on as Rangers beat Aberdeen 4-0 to secure the first of their 27 League Cups. They have also been runners up in the competition eight times.

Two goals from Jimmy Duncanson and goals from Torrance Gillick and Billy Williamson gave Rangers their first silverware of the season. They followed this up with the League title soon after.
