It was on this day in 2017 that Francesco Totti made his 786th and final appearance for Roma. The Italian came off the substitutes’ bench in the 54th minute to replace Mo Salah in a 3-2 win over Genoa.

Totti retired from the game at the age of 41, after spending the last 24 years in the Roma first team. He made his debut when he was just 16 years old on 28th March 1993.
During his time in the game, Totti played in two World Cup Finals and two European Championships. He was part of the Italy side that won the 2006 World Cup in Germany and won a total of 58 caps for the Azzurri, scoring 9 goals.

In his club career, Totti won the Serie A in 2000/01 along with two Coppa Italias and Supercoppa Italianas.
