Remembering Mr Ryland
I heard the sad news today that my former Maths teacher Mr Ryland passed away last week.
He was a fantastic teacher that cared so much about his pupils and was a bloody good teacher as well. He was a staunch Crystal Palace fan and we regularly talked about football together.
When I was at school, I started collecting football programmes and Mr Ryland kindly gave me his Crystal Palace programme collection. It was quite a hefty pile of programmes but I managed to get them home in one piece!
Mr Ryland used to love talking about the Crystal Palace team of 1990 that reached the FA Cup Final and almost beat Manchester United. This video is for you, sir. May you Rest in Peace.
