It was on this day back in 1999 that Sky showed their first match on a pay-per-view service.
The paying customers had to fork out £7.95 for the privilege to watch Oxford United play Sunderland.
9,044 fans went to the game instead of choosing to sit back at home and watch the game on the telly. The fans and the paying viewers at home were subjected to a dull 0-0 draw!
