Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Shrewsbury Town
Good – home shirt 1993 – 95
There is nothing particularly great about this shirt, it is merely that this replaced the ‘Ugly’ shirt that you will see below!
Bad – away shirt 2019/20
This season’s migraine-inducing away shirt manufactured by Admiral has to feature in the ‘Bad’ category.
I don’t know who came up with the design of fading purple with thin black and white vertical stripes but they have given me a headache!
Ugly – home shirt 1992/93
There was only one shirt that I could find in Shrewsbury’s home shirt back catalogue that I could define as ugly and this is it.
The ‘Scrambled Egg’ shirt (as it was called in 1992) was worn for just the one season. The shirt was then ditched for a plain blue version of the same shirt. Luckily the horrible diamonds were omitted from the next season’s design!
