Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Luton Town

Good – 2010/11 commemorative shirt
This light pink and navy blue shirt was brought out to celebrate Luton Town’s 125th anniversary.
Cabrini manufactured the shirt which was made to look like one of the clubs original shirts from when the club was founded.
The original badge was embroidered on the left of the chest and had a larger, more open collar like the design from back in 1885 worn in their first game.

Brian Stein looks unimpressed by the 1991/92 home shirt!

Bad – home shirt 1991/92
This was the home shirt that Luton wore in their last season in the top flight and looks quite bizarre to say the least!
A strange combination of blue, white and orange made up the shirt manufactured by Umbro.
It was the first season that sponsors Universal Salvage Auctions had their name on Luton’s shirt. They sponsored Luton until 1999.

John Hartson looking decidedly uncomfortable in the away shirt for the 1994/95 season. Luckily for the Welshman, Arsenal came in and signed for him before the season was out!

Bad – away shirt 1994/95
This shirt has to be in the Top 10 of the worst shirts of all time! The shirt was a teal colour with a mixture of thick and thin vertical white and orange stripes all over the shirt. It was only worn for the one season and is now a bit of a collectors item.
