Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Grimsby Town

Good – home shirt 2006/07
This was a decent change from the usual black and white vertical stripes that were the norm for Grismby home shirts.
Nike manufactured and designed the kit, with the body of the shirt split into two different colours, black and white. One of the sleeves was black and the other white.

I think that it looks good because Nike always produce good kits and the change from black and white stripes sets it apart from many other home kits of recent times.

Bad – home shirt 1993/94
Sportswear brand Admiral went for this alternative from black and white stripes and sadly, their gamble didn’t pay off.
The shirt is predominantly white with thick black pinstripes. The red collar and cuffs completes an awful design.

Ugly – away kit 2015/16
The look of bewilderment on these two players modelling the shirt says it all!
The dark blue and white v-neck collar with matching cuffs looks odd but not as strange as the strip down the front of the shirt.
Made up of sky blue circles (matching the colour of the shirt) with a dark blue background, the shirt really does look bad!
