Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Coventry City

Paul Telfer sporting the 1994/95 home kit

Good – home shirt 1994/95
This very smart shirt was worn for one season and it is a shame that Coventry didn’t wear it longer.
The shirt had usual sponsors Peugeot emblazoned across the front middle of it. It was all sky blue apart from the collar and cuffs which were white.

Bad – away shirt 1992/93
This particularly bad design definitely deserves its place in the Bad category. It was only worn in a few occasions but has gained a place in Coventry fans memories for being one of their worst
The shirt was all-red but with some bizarre white waves and patterns across it and had a white collar. Ribero manufactured and produced the shirt with Peugeot the main sponsors.
Coventry’s home shirt in the same season was sky blue with a dark blue collar and looked much better than this bad design!

Coventry’s away shirt from
1989-1991

Ugly – Away shirt 1989-1991
Asics designed and manufactured this shirt and it really is a shocker!
The yellow shirt had black lines that ran over both shoulders and really didn’t look good at all. The Asics logo was printed on the right sleeve of the shirt.
