Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Colchester United
Good – Away shirt 2018/19
Colchester has a strong military history. It is also the home to 16 Air Assault Brigade and they were the inspiration for United’s away shirt last season.
The shirt looked incredible and has to be one of the greatest designs in the last few years.
Bad – Home shirt 1993/94
Spall manufactured this fashion disaster for Colchester back in the 1993/94 season.
The shirt was blue with white chevrons across it and also two vertical white lines made up of a design of downward-pointing arrows. It is definitely one of Colchester’s worst shirts, probably the worst home shirt.
Ugly – Away shirt 1992/93
Colchester’s ugly shirt goes to the pink and white away shirt designed and manufactured by Ribero that they wore in the 1992/93 season.
There is not a lot to be said about the shirt as there were a few shirts around with the same design at the time, but it falls into the ugly category for Colchester United!
