Brian Clough teaches some young fans a lesson!

Controversial manager Brian Clough caused a stir in 1989 when he was managing Nottingham Forest as he punched a few of his own fans who ran on the pitch!
Forest beat Queens Park Rangers 5-2 in the game where the incident took place and several fans made their way on the pitch to celebrate.
As they began to make their way off the pitch, Clough started to push passing supporters and shouted at them to get off the pitch. He even swung a few punches, hitting at least two fans.
The incident made national news and divided opinion. Many thought that it was Clough who was the hooligan, others including Nottingham Forest’s own chairman thought that he was right to act in the way he did.
He did apologise to the fans for his actions and got television cameras down to film his apology. In typical Clough fashion, he stole the limelight and got the two fans in question to kiss him! They were also given Cup Final tickets as an apology!
